New House Build
Faded pink to locally-sourced cedar
-
Design remit was to remove roof structure whilst retaining ground floor walls. Build structural openings in existing ground floor brickwork. Dig out footings for side extension to build a block and beam floor with block and brick work construction above. Build additional 1st floor structure in timber to retain existing footings and remove requirement for additional underpinning. Design and build timber truss roof. Roof finished in premium fibre cement slate.

Locally sourced cedar from Balcombe mill was installed as feather edge boards to the 1st floor. The ground floor walls had insulation installed on the exterior with a fine silicone render finish. This method retained the existing internal floor layout. All new powder coated aluminium windows and bifold doors.
-
The internal fit out had underfloor heating installed throughout the ground floor fed off a new air heat source system.
